Responsible Beverage Server Training in Freeport

Casco Bay CAN hosted a Responsible Beverage Server training in Freeport at the The Harraseeket Inn on Tuesday. Thank you to our trainers, Mike Mack, Regional Correctional Manager and Mike McManus, Freeport Maine Police Department Officer/School Resource Officer and Geary Brewing Company and The Harraseeket Inn employees for attending!

Responsible Beverage Server Training

Join Mike McManus from the Freeport Police Department and Mike Mack from the Maine Department of Corrections for a State Certified Responsible Beverage Server training at Tailgate Bar & Grill. The training will be from 12-4pm on Thursday, November 8th. Contact us to register!

Successful Project Sticker Shock in Freeport

Thank you to students from Freeport High School (Maine), Mike McManus, School Resource Officer from the Freeport Maine Police Department, Matthew Greear, Health Teacher and our local businesses- Shaw’s Supermarket and Bow Street Market for a successful Project Sticker Shock.

Sticker Shock is a project that brings community members, youth, law enforcement and local businesses together to raise awareness about the risks of providing alcohol to minors. The students place bright orange stickers on alcohol containers which emphasize the state law for providing alcohol to minors. The goal is to keep youth safe by reaching adults and reminding them they play a vital role by not purchasing alcohol for minors

.

Freeport Middle School Red Ribbon Week

Freeport Middle School celebrates Red Ribbon Week! Students wore red as a reminder that they are committed to staying healthy and drug free. They also made a bulletin board that emphasized how drugs affect a teen’s brain and School Resource Officer Mike McManus spoke to students during lunch.

 

 

Freeport Rx Safety Presentation

Beth Blakeman-Pohl, Casco Bay CAN Director, and Officer Mike McManus of the Freeport Police Department, presented to 27 seniors last week on prescription drug safety tips.
