Casco Bay CAN Table Talks
Why are Table Talks important?
- Underage drinking and substance use/abuse are a serious problem in Maine.
- Teens who believe their parents think it is wrong for them to drink are almost 3 times less likely to drink
- Teens who learn about the risks of misusing prescription drugs or illegal drugs from their parents are up to 50% less likely to abuse or use drugs.
- Table Talks model was created to provide parents with a comfortable opportunity to communicate openly with each other about underage drinking and how to prevent it.
